Geacht BASIS lid,
De BASIS meeting 2009 wordt gehouden op 2 en 3 april 2009 in Brugge, België en wel op een mooie locatie met hele goede congresfaciliteiten, namelijk “Novotel Brugge Centrum”.
Novotel Brugge Centrum biedt hotelkamers aan tegen gereduceerd tarief (€118 in plaats van €128 per kamer en inclusief ontbijt) als voor 15 januari 2009 wordt gereserveerd. Dit kan via een speciaal reserveringsformulier dat binnenkort op de BASIS website (www.basis-online.eu) wordt geplaatst. Tegenover Novotel Brugge Centrum bevindt zich een IBIS hotel als alternatief.

Verder vindt u op de BASIS website formulieren voor: 1. de registratie als lid van de BASIS-vereniging, 2. registratie voor de BASIS bijeenkomst 2009, en 3. het insturen van titels en abstracts van presentaties tijdens de BASIS bijeenkomst 2009. De deadline voor de registratie en het indien van abstracts is 15 januari, 2009
Dear BASIS member,
The BASIS meeting 2009 will be held on April 2 and 3, 2009 in Brugge, Belgium at “Novotel Brugge Centrum”, a wonderful location with very appealing meeting facilities.
Novotel Brugge Centrum offers rooms at a reduced price (€118 instead of €128 per room and including breakfast) when reservations are made before January 15, 2009. Reservations can be made via a special reservation form that will soon be available on the BASIS website (www.basis-online.eu). Just across Novotel Brugge Centrum an IBIS hotel is located as an alternative.

In case you prefer a vegetarian meal or you need a special diet, please let us know by email before March 25, 2008. Changes after this date cannot be honored anymore.

•Toegang tot het park
Tot 12.00 uur zit een medewerker van BASIS bij de kassa van Burgers Zoo.. U ontvangt daar het toegangsbiljet en een plattegrond van het park.
Indien u met eigen vervoer komt, dan ontvangen alleen de bestuurders van een voertuig een uitrijdmunt bij de kassa.
Het park is op donderdag 3 en vrijdag 4 april geopend van 09.00 uur tot 19.00 uur. Na 19.00 uur hebt geen toegang meer tot het park. U dient dus vóór 19.00 uur aanwezig te zijn.
Wij verzoeken deelnemers die vanaf het avondprogramma deelnemen hiermee rekening te houden.
Gaat u tussentijds het park verlaten op donderdag 3 en/of vrijdag 4 april en u maakt gebruik van een uitrijdmunt, dan dient u bij terugkomst zelf een nieuwe uitrijdmunt bij de kassa te kopen!
Till 12 am a representative of BASIS will be present at the cashier of the Zoo. Here you will receive an entrance ticket and a map of the park.
In case you arrive with your own transportation, only the driver of the vehicle will receive a coin at the cashier to allow to leave the parking place.
Thursday April 3 and Friday April 4, the park is open from 9 am till 7 pm. After 7 pm entrance to the park is not possible anymore. So make sure you are present before 7 pm in case you like to join the diner but not the Thursday program, or when you decide to leave the park at Thursday afternoon.
In case you leave the park at Thursday or Friday during the day using your exit coin, you must buy another coin when you return.
•Registratie als deelnemer
U dient zich voor 12.00 uur te registeren bij de registratiedesk. Indien u op tijd aanwezig bent, dan kunt u het dierenpark op eigen gelegenheid bezoeken.
De registratie desk bevindt zich in het Safari Restaurant.

Please register at the registration desk before 12 am. When you arrive at any time before 12 am you can visit the Zoo until the lunch.
The registration desk is located at the Safari restaurant. Mrs Maria Stellaard and mrs Willy Hooijer will hand out the badge, program book and any additional information.

Wilt u het prachtige dierenpark op eigen gelegenheid bezoeken, dan is dat ook mogelijk nadat u uw stand hebt opgebouwd.

• Betaling sponsorbijdrage 2008
Indien u zich heeft aangemeld als sponsor/ industrial partner dan is de ontvangst van uw betaling bepalend.
Hebt u nog niet aan uw verplichtingen voldaan, dan kunt u helaas niet als sponsor deelnemen.
Wij controleren aan de hand van de betalingslijst en de registratielijst uw gegevens.
Wij vragen u dan dringend doch vriendelijk om uw bijdrage te voldoen.
Overleg Bestuur met Sponsors/Industrieel Partners
Het bestuur zou graag met u als sponsor/industrieel partner een korte bijeenkomst willen organiseren tijdens het programma. Onze voorzitter Frans Stellaard zal u hiervoor benaderen.

Annual Meeting 2007
The first BASIS annual meeting will take place March 15 and 16 in Leuven, Belgium. The location will be the “Provinciehuis”. The meeting is free of charge for members of BASIS. Click here for more information and to download the registration form.
Meeting 2007 Leuven
It is a pleasure to us to invite you to Leuven (Belgium) for the fist meeting of BASIS. As you already know, the meeting will be held on march 15-16th 2007. The venue for the meeting is “Het Provinciehuis” which is located next to the railway station.
Participation to the meeting is free of charge for members of BASIS. However, registration is necessary. Participation for non members is also possible. The registration fee is then € 150,-.
Please find at the bottom of this page the registration form for participation to the meeting and the membership form in case you have not yet become a member of BASIS.
A preliminary programme has been setup by the scientific committee of BASIS. True to tradition, some technical/analytical aspects of isotopes will be dealt with on Thursday afternoon whereas contributions of the participants will be scheduled on Friday. Please indicate on the registration form if you want to give a presentation and give a title of your presentation. An abstract (including title, authors and affiliation, max ½ page) can be sent to kristin.verbeke@uz.kuleuven.be before January 31th 2007. Suggestions for other topics that you would like to have included (methodological aspects, practical topics) are also welcome. Mention them on the registration form.
A dinner has been foreseen on Thursday evening. It is free for all participants. Please indicate on the registration form if you will attend the dinner. In case you need a special diet (vegetarian, …), indicate it as well on the form.

Hotel accommodiation is available at IBIS Hotel or Holiday Inn Hotel. We have a number of rooms in option at reduced price until January 15th 2007. For registration, please contact the hotel reception yourself (contact details below). Mention “Symposium BASIS” when you register at IBIS Hotel and mention “code GF3641” when you register at Holiday Inn.
